FALL RETREAT 2010

We invite you to a weekend retreat October 1-3, 2010 at Camp Brookwoods on scenic Lake Winnipesauke.

It will be a weekend to deepen our friendships as we study the bible, have fun, worship, relax, eat s'mores, pray and encounter Christ together. The last chance to register is September 29, 2010.

Speaker: Greg Ganssle

Dr. Greg Ganssle is on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ at Yale, with his wife Jeanie. Greg serves there with the Rivendell Institute, reaching out to graduate students and faculty as well as mentoring believers in how to bring the gospel into the academy. He is also able to teach in the philosophy department at Yale as a part-time lecturer.
Greg has published over two dozen academic papers, chapters and reviews and has edited two books. He is the author of Thinking About God: First Steps on Philosophy (Inter Varsity Press, 2004) and A Reasonable God: Engaging the New Face of Atheism (Baylor University Press, 2009).



 

 

Accommodations: We'll be staying at beautiful camp Brookwoods on Lake Winnipesauke

Packing List: Bring sleeping bag and pillow, casual and athletic clothes, a swim suit, towel, toiletries, warm clothes for evening, Bible, notebook, pen.

Meals: Be sure to eat dinner before you arrive on Friday night. Meals at the retreat include Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch.

Transportation: Buses will be provided for people who need transportation to Camp Brookwoods. Pick-up times:
Friday 5:00 pm BU - at Marsh Chapel
Friday 5:00 pm Harvard - Johnston Gate (Massachusetts Ave)

Cost: The cost of the retreat is $140, $99 if you register and pay in full by Sept. 24, 2010..
Please pay a minimum $25 deposit to register, and bring the rest to the retreat. Scholarships are definitely available, so if you want to go, we will make sure you can! Fill out the scholarship application and email it to courtney.meijers@uscm.org.

After Registration:
Five important items to make sure of before setting off for the retreat:
1) If your transportation arrangements change, then it is critical that you email courtney.meijers@uscm.org as soon as possible. We don't want to lose you! :-)
2) If you requested a scholarship, please fill out the application above.
3) Please bring cash or check (made out to "Campus Crusade for Christ") for the remainder of the registration fee with you to the retreat.
4) Please fill out a liability release form and bring it with you to the retreat. If you are under 18, please have your parents sign it first and then send it to you.
5) Get ready to have a blast! See you there.
