    1. Read Discipline of Grace by Jerry Bridges or What’s So Amazing About Grace? by Philip Yancey. 

    2. Complete a Book Review.

    3. Share your Book Review with an Equipping Partner, and discuss what you have learned from the book.

  • Grace of God

    1. Work through NLTC: “Grace of God” (Advanced) (http://uscm.org/Mintools/nltc/am02tn.pdf) with an Equipping Partner.

    2. Bible Study

    3. Over the next week, read, study and meditate on the following passages: Isaiah 59:1-21, Romans 6-8, Galatians 3:1-4:7, Deuteronomy 7:6-9; 9:1-17, 22-24, Romans 3:1-4:5, and answer the questions:  What do these passages say about sin? What do they teach about grace?

    4. Discuss what you are learning with an Equipping Partner.

  • Hymns

    1. Read and reflect on old hymns of the faith and how they express the grace of God given to us through Christ.  Some suggestions for hymns are: “And Can It Be,” “Amazing Grace,” “It Is Well With My Soul,” “Jesus Paid It All,” “O Sacred Head Now Wounded,” “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross,” “Wonderful Grace of Jesus.”

    2. Share your insights with an Equipping Partner (and possibly your Life Group too).

  • Romans 3:1-4:5

    1. Take a half day to spend with the Lord.

    2. Reflect on Romans 3:1-4:5.

    3. Address these questions:  Do I have an accurate view of my sin?  In what ways do I think more highly of myself than I ought?  In what ways do I think more “lowly” of myself than I ought?  What signs are there in my life that I live in bondage to sin?  What are some indications that I live proudly, in my own strength?  Are there ways it is difficult for me to receive God’s grace?  What do I not understand about grace?  How does an accurate view of grace affect my evangelistic efforts?  What is the biggest problem in my life right now?

    4. Share your insights with an Equipping Partner.
